Game Night January 2025 Photos
Game night was thrilling and full of laughter. The highlight was the shark fishing games that united everyone. Stacking blocks added strategic fun as participants built tall towers, testing their skills. The evening concluded with an exciting shopping session, fostering creativity and playful retail therapy. Every moment was joyful and memorable.

[Sunday] Cool Cup of Water - Kingdom Way - Matthew 10
Jesus sends out the disciples amidst a flurry of expectations. But these serious expectations can bring the heat which only a cool cup of water can satisfy. Matthew Chapter 10

Questions for the Week: Kingdom Way: Cool Cup of Water
How does the image of a 'cold glass of water' resonate with you? Have you ever experienced something similar to that kind of refreshing change?"
Read Matthew 10. The text addresses the seemingly contradictory messages of peace and division. How do you reconcile the idea of following Jesus with the potential for conflict or hardship?
Read Micah 7:1-9. This is quoted in Matthew 10:35. How does this relate to the challenges of following Jesus in His mission? How can we maintain our relationship with God even when facing opposition or division within our families?
The sermon concludes by encouraging listeners to offer a "cold cup of water" to others. What does it look like in practical terms to offer compassion and hope to a hurting world in your own context?
What Had happened at Grace this week.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
As we enter holy week Matthew wants us to see something so clear. We all have abandoned Jesus.
Who would you allow at your table for dinner? Jesus is always accused of having the wrong people at his table. But if his table is big enough for Judas and Peter, then it is big enough for me.
The Magi visiting the Holy Family is absurd. A Roman Governor's wife defending Jesus? Absurd. Most absurd? Jesus taking our cries of "Crucify!" to save us all. Matthew Chapter 27

[Sunday] Only Jesus Can Save Them - Kingdom Way
Jesus does not become unclean by touching the afflicted; instead, HE imparts healing and life. It shows the kingdom is for everyone. Matthew Chapters 8-9

Questions for the Week: Only Jesus Can Save Them - The Kingdom Way
Who are the people we have difficulty with Jesus loving today? How does the grace of Jesus challenge those perceptions?
Read Matthew 9:9-13, 18-26. The examples of the woman with the bleeding disorder and the dead girl illustrate how Jesus imparts healing and life instead of becoming "unclean." What does this image tell us about the nature of Jesus's power and His kingdom?
The repeated phrase "Only Jesus can save them…you…me" was a key takeaway in the sermon.. What does "salvation" mean to you personally, and how have you experienced or witnessed this saving power in your own life or the lives of others?
How can we better reflect Jesus's example of reaching out to the "wrong people" in our community?

Our children explored the fascinating story of the walls of Jericho coming down.
Second Sunday School meets on the second Sunday after the Sunday service.
This month, we discussed Joshua and the Battle of Jericho.
Haiti 4X4 Fundraiser
Raising money for a 4×4 in Haiti
We and many other churches are raising money to purchase a 4x4 vehicle for Habitat for Children in Haiti. This truck is necessary for transportation to many of the locations where we minister. It will also function as an ambulance, especially for transporting expectant mothers to the clinic and care center.
The vehicle costs $30,000.
This price represents good value. The truck is currently in Haiti and is common there, which helps save on importation fees. Additionally, mechanics in Haiti are familiar with repairing these trucks, and parts are readily available. Previous attempts to bring trucks from the US into Haiti have proven costly due to high import fees and the fact that local mechanics often lack the knowledge to repair those vehicles.
[Sunday] The Kingdom Way - Sermon on the Mount
From the mount, Jesus reveals the Kingdom Way. "Blessed are the poor in spirit," He proclaims, urging us to "turn the other cheek," and to pray, "Father, Your will be done." For His kingdom is at hand, and through Him, we find the Golden Way.

Questions for the Week: The Kingdom Way - The Sermon on the Mount
What does the phrase "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done" mean to you personally? How can we invite God’s kingdom into our daily lives?
Read Matthew 5:1-12. The sermon on the mount emphasized the Beatitudes as blessings for the "poor in spirit," the grieving, and the meek. How does this understanding of the kingdom challenge traditional ideas of power and success?
The sermon contrasted different approaches to bringing about God's kingdom (Pharisees, Sadducees, Rome). In your own life, what are some "modern-day" equivalents of these approaches where we try to cover up our insufficiencies to make ourselves look more powerful? Why ultimately is there no hope in this approach?
Jesus calls us to be salt and light, bringing His kingdom to others. Who in our lives might be like the “little children”-- those feeling scared or lost? How can we bring God’s love and balance to them this week?

New Song, All Glory to Our Lord and God
And New Hymn by Koine
Here is Grace’s Recording for Sunday
(just a heads up, It will probably be a bit faster on sunday)
From Koiné's 5th album, The Vine. All Glory to Our Lord and God offers an upbeat, modern, arrangement of a traditional Christian hymn. This hymn arrangement is actually a combination of several other Christian hymns of worship and praise.
The lyrics of verse 1 are taken from the 6th verse of "O Love, How Deep, How Broad, How High" by Thomas á Kempis.
The lyrics of verse 2 and 3 are from "Lord of All Nations, Grant Me Grace" by Olive Wise Spannaus.
And finally, the lyrics of verse 4 are from "Lord Jesus Christ, Be With Us Now" by Johannes Olearius.
The background symbol is well known in Christianity as the symbol of the Holy Trinity.
On January 12th 2025 we are singing
All Glory to Our Lord and God
1. All glory to our Lord and God
For love so deep, so high, so broad,
The Trinity whom we adore
Forever and forevermore.
2. Forgive me, Lord, where I have erred
By loveless act and thoughtless word.
Make me to see the wrong I do
Will hurt my neighbor, Lord, and you.
3. With your own love may I be filled
And by your Holy Spirit willed,
That all I touch, whate'er I do.
May be divinely touched by you.
4. To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Shall glory, praise, and honor be
Now and throughout eternity.
Listen to the Orginal.

[Sunday] Tempted - Kingdom Way
For Jesus is not some high priest who has no sympathy for our weaknesses and flaws. He has already been tested in every way that we are tested; but He emerged victorious, without failing God.

Update and Photos of Christmas at Grace 24’
Great Christmas at Grace
Great Christmas at Grace.
This past Christmas season was truly remarkable!
Haiti: We had the privilege of serving in new ways through Christmas Boxes and witnessed the completion of the Loo's project.
Children's Ranch: We continued our support by providing Angel Tree gifts.
Local Impact: Our Crafters generously made gifts for our Grace Kids and also for the children at Good Samaritan Ministry in PSL.
Wednesday Nights: Attendance was fantastic! We enjoyed wonderful games, laughter, and a renewed Christmas spirit. It's a far cry from the pre-Covid days when we struggled to reach 20 people at our Advent services.
Sunday Services: Our children delighted us with their singing and bell-ringing. We also celebrated the baptism of one of our own.
2025 is ready to go for us.
We will continue to follow our Lord, Emmanuel, through the cross, on the Kingdom Way.
Peace to all.

[Sunday] Those Whos - Kingdom Way
This Christmas, let’s see Jesus as the one who came for us and is with us, and let our hearts grow—just like the Grinch’s—so we can go out, celebrate, and share this good news with all “those” people.

Questions for the Week: Kingdom Way: Those Whos
Why do you think it’s so easy to point at others and say, “Don’t be like those people?” Have there been times when you felt tempted to do this?
Read Matthew 3:1-17. What does John the Baptist seem to be doing? How do people respond? How does Jesus respond?
The sermon talked about hearts "growing three sizes," like the Grinch. What would it look like for our hearts to grow in love toward others this Christmas? Who are the “those people” in your life that you might need to love or celebrate with?
