Hold Fast: 2 Timothy: Paul's Last Letter (Teaching Series)
Paul sits in prison as the weather gets colder. He's writing to his friend Timothy, encouraging him to remember the Gospel and his humble upbringing in it, to watch out for those who are ashamed of the marks of Christ, and for Timothy to bring him a coat. Hold Fast to the humble faith, Timothy!

All of Scripture is God-breathed; in its inspired voice, we hear the good news, useful teaching, correction, instruction, and training for a life well lived in freedom.
Amidst so much irreverent babble and ignorant controversies, it's easy to become entrenched in our "lightning rod" beliefs. What if, instead, we stood in the good news of Jesus?
Paul, with a whiff of sarcasm, pronounces we all know an athlete never cheats in their game, which makes us ask ourselves, “Have we tried to shortcut the faith?
While Paul sits in dirty chains, he encourages those who hear to view weakness, suffering, and shame not through the lens of the shaming world but through the cross of Jesus.

[Sunday] Them - Missio Dei
When we have wanted to avoid them at all costs to stay away from evil, Jesus prays, “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

Questions for the Week: Missio Dei: The Great Sending Part 3 -Them
What motivates a church to circle the wagons and escape from the culture around it? On the other hand, what pushes a church into its mission field?
Read John 17:1-26. Jesus prayed that His disciples would be sent into the world. What does this mean to you? How can we actively participate in God's mission in our daily lives?
We are all sinners. How does understanding this truth impact your relationships with others? How does it change the way you view yourself and those around you?
What Had happened at Grace this week.
There are just so many burdens we are yoked to, but Jesus offers a different way, a kingdom of love and rest. Take on His Yoke of Rest. Matthew Chapter 11
We did it! 🎉 And we couldn't have done it without our amazing community. Join us for a "Mortgage No Smore" potluck and mortgage-burning party on February 23rd.
Game night was thrilling and full of laughter. The highlight was the shark fishing games that united everyone. Stacking blocks added strategic fun as participants built tall towers, testing their skills. The evening concluded with an exciting shopping session, fostering creativity and playful retail therapy. Every moment was joyful and memorable.
Jesus sends out the disciples amidst a flurry of expectations. But these serious expectations can bring the heat which only a cool cup of water can satisfy. Matthew Chapter 10

[Sunday] Living Water - Missio Dei
She was sitting in stagnant water, but Jesus gives her living water which floods her being and pushes her to give good news to so many in her town.

Questions for the Week: Missio Dei: The Great Sending Part 3 - Living Water
What is the difference between stagnant water and running/living water?
Read John 4:1-42. What stagnant water has the Samaritan woman experienced?
How does the “living water” that Jesus brings change this woman?
Think of someone you know who is surrounded by stagnant water. How might the Spirit work in you to bring living water to them?

[Sunday] Rain On Enemies - Missio Dei
Look at the party the father is throwing. The whole town is there. Even that scoundrel Matt is there who stole from the father’s business. I can’t even believe he is throwing this party for that son who took everything from him. But did you hear about the drama with the older son? He is refusing to go into the party? After all, it was raining on the whole party.

Questions for the Week: Missio Dei: The Great Sending Part 3 - Rain On Enemies
Read John 3:16. What gift does God promise you? Why does He give you this gift?
Read Matthew 5:43-48. Why does Jesus say to love your enemies?
Why does loving your enemies show God’s abundance and His generosity towards you?
When you look at the world with the eyes of Jesus, seeing God’s abundance all around, how does your view of the world change? How might this view change the way you live?
Here are the Original Series.
Just as Christ is “the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end,” at the close of every liturgical year, we look forward, with renewed hope, to Christ’s coming again in glory to reign as Lord forever. In the same way, we also look forward to our own resurrection and the time of a new earth — an earth that is no longer broken by sin and groaning. Christ will come again in glory just as surely as He came the first time, when He was born. So we have these three weeks of “transition” at the end of the “long green season” into the Advent Season: the new beginning of the liturgical year.
Look at the party the father is throwing. The whole town is there. Even that scoundrel Matt is there who stole from the father’s business. I can’t even believe he is throwing this party for that son who took everything from him. But did you hear about the drama with the older son? He is refusing to go into the party? After all it is raining on all the party.
We find ourselves in deserts. They seem so lonely, and we long for the peace and coolness of the gardens. But God is always in the desert with us, and He will always lead us to gardens flowing with milk and honey.
A voice breaks through and says, Take, Take the apple, take the blessing, take your brother." There is just not enough. But the other voice says, "Look at the stars, and count them if you can.
What do you spend your time considering? Your financial portfolio? Who to vote for? How there is never enough? Jesus gives us some backwards advice. Consider the birds.

Church in this part of Haiti is different than what we are used to at Grace Lutheran PSL.
Their Sunday runs much of the day with food and celebration. Right now, when people are enjoying the body of Christ, they must travel to a tree blind to use the bathroom. Not to mention when out-of-towners visit this church there is nowhere close to use the facilities.
This is a photo of the Main Church we work with in Haiti and where the bathroom will be.
As you can see from the photos this church is a humble building. But it is a beacon of love and service in its community. On a typical sunday they will have around 100 poeple in attendance.
Pastor Bruno Lexene (pictured) works with Habitat for children ministries to serve his community.
This is the same community the “Girls” came from.
Most of the people who live in this community do not have bathrooms themselves. Many of their homes are on our project list at HFCM to build a kitchen and bathroom.
Photo at Pastor Bruno Lexene House.
You can tell its a pastors house becasue its set up as the community hangout. 10 Min walk to the church
When under pressure, there is hope and resilience in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ which causes us to look at the world differently.
